Two babies found dead in freezer in ‘cursed’ French village where uncle gunned down his nephew in cold blood

THE remains of two babies have been discovered in the same “cursed” village where a man brutally gunned down his own nephew.
The remains of the two babies were found in the freezer of a house as part of a major investigation.
Cops have arrested a woman after the grim discovery on Tuesday afternoon in Aillevillers-et-Lyaumont, Haute-Saône in France.
An entire section of Rue Charles-Demandre in the centre of the village was cordoned off from the public from 5pm.
The area remained sealed off until 1am.
It has been revealed that police were alerted to the body of one baby in the freezer, found by a man in his 50s who lived in the home.
Attending cops later found the second baby in the same location.
An investigation immediately commenced, with officers searching for the man’s partner, also in her 50s.
The mother of nine reportedly left the home voluntarily in December, according to L’Est Républicain.
She was arrested on Wednesday in Boulogne-Billancourt, in the Paris region, where one of her sons resides.
The woman has remained in police custody since Wednesday evening at the Lure gendarmerie and was expected to face a magistrate on Thursday, February 12.
Investigators from the Lure research brigade and the Besançon research section, as well as a forensic identification technician from Vesoul were deployed to the gruesome scene.
A magistrate from the Vesoul public prosecutor’s office has also visited the location.
No other details about the investigation have been released, with the connection between the woman and children unknown.
The investigation is ongoing.
As the probe continued on Wednesday, the village of 1,500 people was tense.
One resident dubbed their home “a cursed village”, referring to a murder that had already been committed in Aillevillers in 2014.
On March 26 that year, a man in his 50s opened the front door of his house and shot his nephew at point blank range.
As he tried to flee, the uncle shot him a second time in the back.
The man later died from his injuries.
The horrific murder unfolded in front of the young man’s wife and two children, who had been waiting for him in their parked car.
A trial later revealed that the tragedy unfolded in the midst of a family dispute over inheritance from the victim’s grandfather.
The victim had been very close with his grandfather.
The uncle had inherited his father’s rifle, which was then used to kill his nephew.
