‘Best bar man on TV’, cry fans as ‘legendary’ Hollywood star spotted on ‘unplanned visit’ during Ireland trip

HOLLYWOOD icon Woody Harrelson was spotted by fans during a recent trip to Ireland.
The accomplished actor has starred in blockbusters like, Zombieland and The Hunger Games after first rising to international prominence on the sitcom, Cheers.

Taking some time away from both LA and his home state of Texas, Harrelson has been enjoying a trip to Ireland.
And while the purpose or length of his trip is not known, being a silver screen icon makes it difficult to get around without being noticed.
Yesterday he was spotted in Derry, at The Bishops Gate hotel, where he stood for a photo with two staff members.
In the snap, the A-lister was keeping a low profile by donning a blue scarf and baseball cap.
The two staff members could barely contain their smiles as they posed alongside the star for the photo.
Sharing the news of their VIP guest, the Bishops Gate took to their Facebook, writing: “Sometimes you want to go, where everybody knows your name.
“We know that some of our younger followers may not recognise how the song lyrics above links to the guest in our photo but we know many will still know him from his many other roles such as The Hunger Games, True Detective & Now You See Me, to name just a few.
“Our team were very surprised to see Hollywood Star Woody Harrelson arrive in for a short unplanned visit yesterday and were very grateful that Mr Harrelson allowed our team members Clare and Keoni to capture a quick photo.
“You just never know who will be next to spin through our revolving door!”
Fans of the star flocked to their comment section to gush over the icon staying in Ireland.
Mark wrote: “Best bar man on tv!! Hope he got a free beer or two.”
Jonathon remarked: “One of my favourite actors, this is not the first time he’s been here a few times!”
‘LEGEND’
Emmett gushed: “Brilliant! Legend.”
Another fan added: “He couldn’t stay in a better place!”
Woody isn’t the only Hollywood A-lister banging around Ireland, as Brad Pitt was spotted filming a new movie in Dublin.
The actor, 62, was shooting for One For All at Bullock Harbour in Dalkey, with other scenes set for Wicklow, Cork and Kerry.
Brad reportedly landed on Irish soil last week and will be moving into a new lush pad in one of Dublin’s most scenic towns.
The Fight Club star‘s latest flick is a big-screen adaptation of Tim Winton’s 1994 novel The Riders.
Parts of the book were set in Ireland and so they will be shooting in Wicklow Mountains for the next few weeks.
Brad plays leading man Fred Scully in The Riders, which is directed by Edward Berger, and stars opposite Julianne Nicholson and Coco Greenstone.
