Gardai launch murder probe after man, 57, stabbed to death while visiting pals in Dublin as two women, 60s, hospitalised

A MURDER investigation is under way after a man was stabbed to death while visiting pals.
The probe was launched after the victim, 57, was attacked at a flat in north inner city Dublin, at 1.20am on Saturday.
The man — who’s originally from Eastern Europe — was living in the Lucan area of west Dublin.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two women at the property, aged 61 and 63, suffered injuries and are being treated in hospital.
One theory is that a woman may have attacked the murder victim and a pal before she also suffered injuries.
Gardai are treating it as a domestic incident.
The murder victim and two injured women are all known to each other.
Detectives are hoping to speak to the women when they get the all-clear from medical staff.
A source said: “This is a terrible tragedy. There was some kind of domestic dispute that has led to a man losing his life.”
Gardai sealed the scene while experts carried out a forensic examination.
They were also looking at premises nearby.
A Garda spokesman last night said: “No arrests have been made.”
