Heartbreaking tributes for ‘beautiful’ young mum, 21, who died after being struck by car as family confirm funeral

TRIBUTES have poured in for a “beautiful” young mum who died after being struck by a car in Co Tipperary on Sunday evening.
Victoria ‘Gabrielle’ Donoghue, 21, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene of the collision on the R502 road at Ballinlassa, between Templemore and Templetouhy at around 7pm.
The motorist involved in the incident did not require “immediate hospital treatment”, gardai said.
Gabrielle, was from the Templemore area and had a young son, will be laid to rest on Friday, her family has confirmed.
An online death notice reads: “Victoria Gabrielle Donoghue, Rosemount, Templemore, Co Tipperary, tragically after an accident.
“Reposing in Grey’s Funeral Home Templemore this Thursday the 12th of March 2026 from 2pm.
“Removal at 4pm to the Church of the Sacred Heart Templemore to arrive at 5:30 pm.
“Requiem Mass on Friday the 13th at 12 noon. Interment in Roscrea cemetery afterwards.”
Tributes have poured in for the young woman since her passing, with heartbroken mourners telling how she will be “forever 21”.
One said: “Forever missed Gabby.”
Another added: “Rest in peace [beautiful] angel. May god look ovor u’re poor mothor [sic] father and family at this very hard time give them strength to get true it.”
A third said: “Rest in peace beautiful angel grown big amazing wings may you fly high. You will be missed.
“Rise above you absolute queen till another lifetime till then the stars may hold yiu [sic] and hope you shine bright lighting up the night sky.”
Another wrote: “Condolences to her Mum Dad brother’s sister and extended family, sorry for yer loss.
“Fly high Gabby with all the angels in God’s beautiful paradise forever 21.”
A fifth said: “Rest in peace Victoria, hard to believe I won’t meet you again around town. Great girl.”
Gardai are investigating the circumstances of the crash and have asked anyone who may have information to come forward.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Gardai are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact them.
“Any road users who were travelling on this road at the time and who may have camera footage (including dash-cam), are asked to make it available to Gardai.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Thurles Garda Station on 0504 25100, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.”
